Recently, Annika and I have had the joy to finally try ourselves with our own Bow´s . Both courtesy of my parents in law as a wedding gift to us.

Annika and I noticed significant progress in terms of improving our aim. I also noticed that we have a total different approach to the matter within our archery club. Compared to the precision bows which range usually between 24 and 28 pounds of draw weight, Annika’s and especially my bow are brutal tools that forgo the grace of absolute accuracy in favor of raw power. But then again, we need those bows to fell something the size of a dear and precision alone will not bring the meat on the table.

I have delved into some research regarding augmenting the arrows we have with broad heads. Improving our techniques will be paramount as the broad heads will add signifcant weight to our arrows. And there it is that the people with a lot of experience either of one, speed or punch. I have to say, without experience ad hoc, I would probably root for the latter.

It is going to be interesting to explore this topic in its entirety. Shooting and hitting alone will not bring success. The tricky part will be actually the tracking. Can´t kill what isn´t there, eh ?

I can not say, I chose a boring hobby. Looking at the pictures, makes it very rewarding, though they also serve as encouragement to outperform the previous shots. Room for improvement is always as wide as a solar system.
